Let me help with your computer
When something isn’t working, you can let me see your screen and fix it from where I am. It takes about a minute. Start here.
Download the free helper
Click the button, then open the file it downloads.
On a different device? See all downloads — works on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.
Then, three quick things
Keep me on the phone while you do these — I’ll talk you through each one.
-
Open RustDesk
Find RustDesk (blue icon) and open it. You’ll see a big ID number with a password just below it.
ID528 419 207Password9x4k2mYours will look like this — different numbers. -
Read me the two things
Call or text me and read me the ID and the password. That pair is the key to let me in, so only ever share it with me, and only while we’re talking.
-
Say yes to the pop-up
A small box may ask permission. Click Allow or OK, and I’ll take it from there — you’ll see the mouse start to move on its own. That’s me.
You’re in control the whole time
- I can connect only while RustDesk is open and you’ve just given me the password.
- The password changes, so an old one is useless to anybody later.
- Close RustDesk at any moment and I’m disconnected instantly.
